It's certainly the closest we'll ever come to getting pooped on by a deity!

Ooooh, organic matter from outside the Earth's atmposhere - with so many amino acids. How can this be? :o :D :D :D

Why would a deity leave this lying around?

Oh, as if this is a serious question. BTW, do deities deal with amino acid chains or just pull us out of the hat as whole beings?

I think the deity raw material of choice is dust for creating beings, and absolutely nothing for creating universes.

Would that be organic or inorganic dust?

It doesn't say, so in keeping with observed best practices I'll just make up crap and say - Inorganic!

Its God poop!

It's certainly the closest we'll ever come to getting pooped on by a deity!

If God ever chooses to poop on us - we will definitely know it. But I doubt it will happen. We are His creation - why would he poop on us? He loved us enough to come to earth and work His perfect plan and save us from our sins and give us life everlasting. He is going to return one day and destroy the earth as we know it with fire and build a new heaven and a new earth - but I dont think He is going to poop on us. At one point many of us might wish He would but I still dont think it will happen.

Ooooh, organic matter from outside the Earth's atmposhere - with so many amino acids. How can this be?

Never mind 'how', I want to know 'why'!

God can do anything He chooses to do when He chooses to do it. Some of the things we cant comprehend the "how" or the "why" to it. We are not God and we dont know the mind of God.

Because there is oodles of organic matter. Why would you ask why?

Becasue it is the desire of man to know the mind of God - He will reveal it all to us one day.

Why would a deity leave this lying around?

Perhaps to demonstrate the foolishness of man.

Oh, as if this is a serious question. BTW, do deities deal with amino acid chains or just pull us out of the hat as whole beings?

God deals with it all - the earth trembles at His command. He hung the stars and the moon. He is the creator and we are the creation. Clay pots generally don't get to ask the pot maker questions.

I think the deity raw material of choice is dust for creating beings, and absolutely nothing for creating universes.

And yet - we marvel at His handiwork. Orat least the one who don't deny it do.

One day - no one will be able to deny it.

Funny you should say that, because the bible says otherwise.

Anyway, when you are quoting you could include the person who you are quoting, Rob? It's hard to follow sometimes.

Sorry, if anything I said was taken the wrong way, as I didn't realize this was a thread about religion. I thought it was an article about space stuff...sciencey/astronomy-stuff

I just quoted many of the previous posts.

In case you didnt notice - the 2nd and 3rd posts went to God and God's poop. After that several of the posts mentioned God and diety - At that point in my book - we are in religion. I try not to introduce it into non-religious threads and in this case I didnt but I do reserve the right to defend my God and my Creator.

My appologies if my comments offended you - but offense is a two-way street sometimes.

Oh geez, what am I now, your bible secretary?!

Psalm 78:69 - And he built his sanctuary like high palaces, like the Earth which he hath established for ever.

Psalm 104:5 - Who laid the foundations of the Earth, that it should not be removed for ever.

Deuteronomy 4:40 Thou shalt keep therefore his statutes, and his commandments, which I command thee this day, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days upon the earth, which the LORD thy God giveth thee, for ever.

Ecclessiastes 1:4 - One generation passeth away, and another generation cometh: but the earth abideth for ever.

That's all I can remember off the top of my head. I can look up some more if you want.

Oh, and one more I forgot, Rob:

Psalm 37:29 - The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever.

There are a couple of others that I know of, but I need to look for them. I'll let you know when I find them.

You'll have to change the thread title to: It's amazing what falls from the lips...
